Report of 2008 MECHATROLINK Members
Association General Meeting
The MECHATROLINK Members Association
General Meeting was held at Tokyo Garden Palace, on Tuesday
June 24.
We were lucky enough to have a break in the rainy season
and the weather tuned out nicely that day. Many members
attended the meeting, and the general meeting, lectures
and reception were all very successful.
The meeting started with a welcome speech by Hiroshi Ogasawara,
the President of the Executive Committee of the MMA. Takeshi
Tanaka, the General Secretary of the MMA, then reported
on the Results of FY 2007 and the plans for the FY 2008.
This was followed by a financial report for FY2007.
Guest speakers were invited from Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.
and Shinkawa Ltd. and they gave thoughts provoking speeches
on trends and issues related to network and control equipment,
as well as on semiconductors in the automobile industry.
After the lectures, the FDT/DTM subcommittee reported on
its activities, and new MECHATROLINK products from member
companies were introduced. Finally, the release of MECHATROLINK-III
was discussed before concluding the general meeting and
lectures.
The reception afterwards provided members with the time
to get to know each other in casual setting.
Please refer Detailed Report of the contents of the general
meeting.
The MMA will continue to promote activities in pursuit of
making MECHATROLINK a defacto global standard.
