With MECHATROLINK-Ⅱ, the MDevice sends the transmission cycle in the synchronous frame. When the SDevice receives the CONNECT command, it uses the transmission cycle in the synchronous frame to initialize communications.

If the Access Driver is used, the required data in the synchronous frame, such as the transmission cycle, is set. It is thus not necessary for the systems developer of the MDevice to worry about setting data in the synchronous frame.
