Establishment of MECHATROLINK Members Association on October 1st, 2005

The MECHATROLINK Members Club established in 2003 has grown to an organization of more than 120 member companies as of September 2005.

To further promote the use of MECHATROLINK technology it is necessary to accelerate MECHATROLINK into becoming the de-facto world-standard, and to clarify the positioning as an open network, the MECHATROLINK Members Association (MMA) will be established to replace the Members Club. The MMA will start its activity on October 1st, 2005 as the motion field network launched from Japan.

The MMA consists of the MECHATROLINK product developers and users to promote the use of MECHATROLINK technology worldwide. All the members support the construction and promotion of a larger motion field network MECHATROLINK family.

Forming the connections built up through the Members Club into an association can clarify the organization and management, which stimulates cooperation and communications among the members. The establishment of the MMA can be expected to stimulate the activities for global promotion of the use of MECHATROLINK.

The MMA consists of Chairman, Executive Committee, Secretariat, and members of MECHATROLINK vendors and users. The membership is classified into four categories. The membership fee is charged according to the category and the services and rights granted to the member differ depending on the category. You can select your desired category and send the application form to the secretariat. The MMA will engage in constructive activities such as setting up subcommittees and organizing seminars.

The MMA home page that had been limited to the members is now open to the public to send information more widely. The MMA members can access to the member's page from the home page to obtain technical information.
