The MECHATROLINK Members Association (MMA) manned its first booth at the 10th China International Machine Tool Show (CIMT2007), held at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing from April 9th (Mon) to April 15th (Sun), 2007, with the MMA China branch taking a lead role in the exhibition.

This is the biggest machine tool exhibition in China. According to the organizers, the exhibition bustled with 23.5 thousand visitors. Numerous foreign enterprises as well as Chinese companies had booths at the exhibition. Major Chinese companies displayed heavy machines and compound machines, and indicated that CNC is being used for machine tools more than ever in China. Around twenty Chinese CNC makers exhibited mid-sized and economical CNC machine tools at the exhibition. It appears that China's manufacturing base will continue to grow rapidly.

The MECHATROLINK booth included exhibits chosen by the MECHATROLINK Members Association and MECHATROLINK compatible PC-based CNC of Shenyang Golding NC TECH.Co.,Ltd., a MMA member. The exhibition was a great success in allowing us to explain MECHATROLINK technology to our many visitors.

During the exhibition, we held a seminar that was attended by over 40 visitors. Mr. Yu Dong of the MMA China Branch manager gave a speech entitled "High-speed Field Network MECHATROLINK and Its Applications."

We hope to use this experience to build a better system, while engaging in technological exchange based on MECHATROLINK with various participants.
