The MECHATROLINK Members Association manned an exhibit at Hannover Fair 2007 held in Hannover, Germany, from April 16th to 20th. The fair attracted 230,000 people, an increase of 10% over 2006, and 6,400 companies from 68 countries were on exhibit.

The MMA booth was located in the center of Hall 8 and received many visitors. This was our first exhibition at the Hannover Fair, and we were able to introduce "MECHATROLINK" and its overall communications technology to visitors from across Europe.

PHOENIX CONTACT Development & Manufacturing Inc., Omron Yaskawa Motion Control B.V., Digital Electric Corporation, and Yaskawa Electric Corporation, all MMA members, participated in the fair to demonstrate the connectivity of MECHATROLINK and to exhibit their products.

On the fourth day, a MECHATROLINK seminar was held. In the seminar, a general description of MECHATROLINK and the characteristics of MECHATROLINK-III were explained, and there were lively discussions followed.

We are looking forward to increasing MECHATROLINK development in Europe.
