The MECHATROLINK Members Association (MMA) participated in the Taipei International Automation Technology Exhibition, held in the Nangang Exhibition Hall at the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) from August 4 (Wed) to 7 (Sat), 2010. The MMA shared a booth with the YASKAWA ELECTRIC TAIWAN CORPORATION to promote MECHATROLINK to the Taiwanese market.

Demonstrations of MECHATROLINK-II and –III compatible products by MMA members, displays of those by Taiwanese manufacturers, and presentation of gantry stages controlled via MECHATROLINK were so well-received that our booth had about 1300 visitors.

A MECHATROLINK seminar was held on August 5, and approximately 40 people attended. The seminar included a technical introduction of MECHATROLINK and a demonstration of now software can be created for synchronized control. The seminar ended with a great success.

Because MECHATROLINK was also used in demonstrations in some other booths, we expect further development of MECHATROLINK in the Taiwanese market.
