The MMA participated in the Asia Monozukuri Conference 2015 held in Jakarta, Indonesia on September 9 (Wed.), 2015 and in Bangkok, Thailand on October 21 (Wed.), 2015.

The contents of the conference have been enhanced and upgraded this year. As with the conference held in Ho Chi Minh, Viet Nam in July 2015, there were a number of local visitors who are involved in manufacturing sites in attendance. Among ASEAN countries, Thailand has the highest production volume of automobiles, and the production volume of automobiles in Indonesia has also undergone remarkable growth in recent years. Through the conference, we recognized once again the keen interest of both Indonesia and Thailand towards Japanese technologies and, more specifically, the Monozukuri spirit. We also realized that the knowledge obtained from past Monozukuri Conferences is actually put into practice at local manufacturing sites.

Supporting companies arranged booths to display their products between the reception desk and the lecture space in the conference hall. The MECHATROLINK-compliant products of member companies were demonstrated at the MMA booth. We introduced the advantages of MECHATROLINK and the rich lineup of MECHATROLINK products to the many participants that visited the MMA booth both in Indonesia and Thailand.

In cooperation with member companies, the MMA will promote the use of MECHATROLINK in ASEAN countries where further growth is expected.
